Abstract
In the field of modern electronics and communications, the signal has become a focus of study. To grasp the variation of the signal on our production and has considerable benefits, period, frequency, pulse width and duty cycle as the basic characteristics of the signal. The backdrop of the rapid development of electronics, communications and popular, the signal characteristics to be known and constant research. How to obtain a more accurate, reliable, real-time and good frequency, period, pulse width and duty cycle measurement has become an important research topic. The design is based on FPGAs (field programmable. Gate, array) technology, hardware, through the external circuit will be amplified the signal shaping input to the FPGA, Altera Corporation FPGA (cyclone II ep2c8q) as the master, using Verilog HDL hardware description language programming of the FPGA control.
